Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to make stuff, especially stuff that is cute, fun, and functional! Being at a STEAM school we are always combining engineering skills, design skills and art skills to create unique projects that often are more than just art.

For this project students will design and create an original stuffed felt creation.

Students will start by creating an original sketch and pattern. They will then trace and cut the pieces out of felt. They will then either sew or glue their felt together to create their stuffie. Students will then use the buttons, eyes, pipe cleaners and puffy paint to add details. Lastly they will stuff their creations using the craft stuffing.

At the end of this projects students will have original felt stuffies that they create!
