Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Look out, future scientists coming your way! Just like real scientists, our students bring their curiosity, creativity, and diligent attitudes to school every day. They work together to solve problems and actively find solutions to daily issues.
Though they are only in high school, our students are already preparing for careers in STEM education, and we want our classroom to be equipped to encourage that growth!
As Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus puts it, we want to be a school where students can, "Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!"
My Project
These supplies will allow students to experience some unique lab activities that can get students excited for a career in forensics.
These exciting experiences are often the labs that we are unable to do based on cost restrictions.
We hope to give our students the opportunity to grow their love for science and all the different fields they can explore.
Students will benefit from these labs as they will give them an opportunity to try something that has real-world applications, not just activities limited to the class environment. Students will learn how to solve crimes, blood type synthetic blood, and then check out their own blood type!
