Extra Monitor for a More Efficient Remote Learning Experience

My Students

Our school is a mathematics and science academy which offers students a technology-based learning environment. The school has two computer labs and two science labs, and it aims to provide its students with the skills necessary to succeed in today’s tech-savvy world. The school recognizes student achievement through honor roll, rising star, perfect attendance, and other awards.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year.

My Project

The use of the extra computer monitor will ensure that my students are being provided with the best possible remote learning experience. The extra monitor will allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that using a laptop and computer slows down learning at this time. Even though the students are great about some delays we may have with me using two computers, it is distracting for many of my students who have focusing issues and they miss important instruction from either myself or other students. By having the extra monitor, we will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not have to wait for me to jump from one computer to the other.
