Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students include Special and Regular Education students who are eager to learn. I work in a low-income area with 90% of all students receive free breakfast and free or reduced lunches.
All students need to be involved in learning through the use of resources and materials that will motivate and challenge them to reach their full potential.
Our school's budget, especially this year, is limited by economic circumstances of the district and state. Every year the budget has been slashed to the point that the school doesn't have the funds to purchase basic supplies for students.
My Project
The addition of a computer monitor will improve and enhance the way my students and I interact with each other and the lessons as we continue to learn remotely. I must choose between seeing my students or the lesson I am using when teaching.
With this monitor, I would be able to see my students at all times making the learning experience more personal simulating or coming closer to in-person learning.
The monitor will allow me to see the entire class in real-time so I don't waste instructional time toggling from one screen to the other slowing down instruction. The monitor would also allow me to continue teaching as if I were in a classroom creating instructional anchor charts while answering students' questions without stopping because I have a full view of all my students.
