Extra! Extra! There's a Carnival in Town

Help me give my students big top circus tents, clown outfits, a ticket booth, carnival hats, carnival tablecloth and other decorations to create a carnival room transformation.

My Students

Our close-knit Title I school is located in a beautiful country setting. The students are energetic, curious and work hard. The parents are positive and the community is a great resource of support.

The students come to school each day to learn so that they can be positive and helping participants in society.

The students work together to support one another both in the school and outside of the school day. Whenever a need arises in the community, our students are always there to lend a helping hand. Therefore, when we can help to pay it forward to the students, we jump at the opportunity.

My Project

We are ready for a carnival room transformation. Working under a big top will be a great experience. Each student will be welcomed to the big top with a clown nose, tie, vest and wig. They will have use of circus tents for finding a place to read. There will be party hats to put over their wigs to take on the role of a clown.

Striped tablecloth will be placed on the desks, colored sugar will be used to make cotton candy for snack time, a carnival banner and pennants will decorate the room to make the students feel like their day is being spent at a carnival.

We will be using carnival games that we already have to create ELA and math activities for the day. We are excited to create a great day of learning.
