My Students

As a teacher in a low income/high poverty Title I school, teaching can be a challenge. Unfortunately, some of my students do not own books and are lacking the skills to enable them to read at grade level.

My goal is for my students to develop a love for learning!

My kindergarten students are energetic, fun, hardworking, and kind! My students come to school eager to learn how to read. Every year, we work hard on building up our stamina to read books independently! It is truly amazing what their little minds accomplish by the end of the school year.

My Project

Extra, Extra Read allALOUD it!! I would like classic stories to read aloud to my students in my google classroom. I choose books that are engaging and I know my students and families will love. At this time, when families are under stress, I would love to give them the opportunity to hear wonderful stories from their home. I also, want to continue promoting literacy and I strongly believe this is a great way to do so. Please help me continue to promote early literacy in my virtual classroom!! ❤️
