Help me give my students books for independent reading that are recommended by the curriculum they are learning. Each one of these titles is directly related to the curriculum being delivered to them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Books and being able to read independently are powerful! It opens doors for students to go to the most unimaginable places. It gives students the opportunity to learn and grow. As Dr. Seuss said "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
These books give students the opportunity to read all about it!
Every book is an extension of what we are learning in the classroom. It's giving students the opportunity to make connections and further their depth of knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to read these books in the classroom or take them home and share what they are learning with their families.
Many of my students do not have the opportunity to visit the public library. This will allow them to have books readily available to them.
