This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are some of the happiest I've seen throughout my teaching career. They are full of energy, curiosity, and excitement. These students are eager and ready to explore, create, and develop life long skills and they will not let any obstacles hold them back.

My students are willing to learn new concepts and skills to help prepare themselves for their future.

My goal is to have the necessary materials to keep them motivated throughout the school year. It is important that my students have everything they need to become successful and independent learners.

My Project

The purpose of this project is to develop a classroom library filled with an assortment of books. Students will be able to explore books that interest them and use them to develop many literacy skills.

My students will be able to use these leveled readers daily to build comprehension, improve fluency, and to develop vocabulary.

These books can be used during shared reading and interactive read aloud. Teachers can read aloud to the students and model fluency, thinking skills, and comprehension skills. Having the various leveled collections ensures that there are books for all readers, allowing all students to feel successful.
