My Students

The school year has not started yet but I am eager and excited to meet my new students this year. Every year when you get a new class they start off with just being a name on a list. But by the end of the year, those students are part of my heart and my school family. We grow and learn every day from one another.

Being their teacher I want to give my students the best education that I can.

My Project

Scholastic News is a wonderful way for my students to stay on top of current events going on around the world. This resource will also help with fluency and comprehension strategies. It will also teach them new vocabulary words and how to use non-fiction text features, which is a standard in 2nd grade.

We will have a new magazine to read once a week which will allow us to engage in collaborative discussions but can also be used for independent practices.

Scholastic News would be a wonderful resource and will give my students something to look forward to and will make learning fun.
