This year, I have a group of twenty-seven, enthusiastic and diverse first graders of all different abilities. They are always eager to do their best and as their teacher, I strive to give them all the materials necessary to reach all their goals.
It is my goal to help students believe in themselves and their abilities; it is crucial to their success.
I want them to grow as students not just academically, but personally and socially as well.
These students deserve the best!
My Project
Many of the books in my classroom are either outdated or have pages falling out. Every day the kids ask for new books. I would love to help them progress in reading by having new and interesting books for them to read.
It is so important to be excited about reading!
New books, fluency games and sight word games are crucial to learning. These materials would help my class want to read more and get them excited to learn.
Many of my students do not have these resources at home, so I would love to give them more opportunities in our classroom!
