Hooray! This project is fully funded
Open the eyes of students to the world through non-fiction!
I teach a class of 20 under-privileged first grade students in Tennessee.
Our school is working hard to give our students every opportunity that they do not have at home. My students do not have access to non-fiction reading material outside of school.
The resources I am requesting are student subscriptions to Scholastic News and Ranger Rick Magazine. These resources will educate my students on current science and social studies topics. They will learn about news from around the world through captivating pictures, grade-level reading materials, and exciting activity ideas. First graders cherish the fact that they can take these reading materials home with them too!
The resources from this project can be shared with student families and friends, which will enhance its positive impact.
You will be providing an outlet to the real world through your support.
