Extra, Extra, Read All About It-Part 2

Help me give my students books and a bag to take home when we celebrate literacy week.

My Project

I would like to have a school book fair during literacy week. I would like to provide books and bags to carry the books home in during literacy week at my school. Our students are very special and curious minds. We have special needs classrooms and several inclusion classrooms. They all love to listen to stories and read in the library area during free choice time.

My colleague and I would like to join together to provide a level A book and a bag for students to take their book home in during literacy week at our school.

There will be special events planned during literacy week at my school. On the first day students will wear bright colors and sunglasses on Shine Bright for Reading day. On the second day students will wear their favorite hat in honor of the book "Caps for Sale". On day three students will wear a shirt with letters and/or writing on it. On day four students will wear fun socks with patterns, shapes and colors. The last day of literacy week the students will dress as a favorite character in a book and have the opportunity to read with their parent during drop off. On this day I would like to distribute the book and bag to the students to take home.

We want to spread the love of reading and make sure our youngest learners continue to enjoy and appreciate books. This project will help us to do this.
