Help me give my students strong reading comprehension skills, expand their vocabulary, and stay informed about the world around them through engaging, high-interest nonfiction texts they’ll love to read every week.

My Project
I teach an amazing group of curious, energetic, and kind-hearted second graders who are eager to learn about the world around them. They come to school each day full of questions, ready to grow as readers, thinkers, and citizens.
My students love stories, but they especially light up when we read about real people, places, and events.
That’s why a classroom subscription to Scholastic News Magazine would be such a powerful tool for our learning. These weekly nonfiction magazines are written just for second graders and include vibrant photos, engaging topics, and interactive features that make reading exciting and meaningful.
