Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The majority of my students live below the poverty level. My students face immense challenges outside of school that they can't control. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths!
I have students with a large range of learning abilities in my classroom.
They come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of needs. My students are TK through first grade and have autism, ADD, or ADHD, but all of the children in my classroom have the same desire to learn.
The students in my class strive for excellence and always try their best. In my classroom, we are scholars striving for greatness. I know my students will be successful because I truly believe in all of them.
My Project
Currently my students have been out of school for almost a year. Being that we are in a hotspot of the pandemic we are unable to do material pick up at our school site.
Currently I am sending materials through US mail monthly to all of my students and that isn't nearly enough !
My students benefit having a paper copy of the materials that I am teaching on their screens. This not only allows my students to interact with their learning but also creates a learning experience that solidifies their learning!
