My students need spare uniform clothes for when there are accidents or messes. They don't always have clothes to change into from home.

My Students
As a teacher in a Title I school with students who come from low-income or high poverty homes, my students are faced with challenges in and outside of the classroom. All of the students in my class receive free breakfast and lunch at school, sometimes these meals are all that they may get for the day. Some of the students in my classroom live in shelters, motels or are living with family members or friends.
There are 9 students in my classroom with moderate to severe disabilities that come to school every day with the biggest and brightest smiles on their faces.
My classroom is specially structured to meet their needs. We strive to provide a full educational experience for all students, incorporating social skills, community skills, and functional skills into our daily routines.
My Project
In my classroom, accidents and messes can sometimes happen. Students are still learning to tell when they need to use the bathroom, how to eat on their own and they can get into some messes, like mud from the playground or paint at the art station. Since I work with in a Title I school with low-income students, they do not always have extra clothes to send to school in case of accidents.
When students have an accident, they need a new, clean set of clothes to change into.
They need a clean shirt, pants, socks and underwear so that they can continue to learn even if there has been an accident. Being able to have clean clothes is important to my students’ self-esteem and confidence.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
