My Students

Our school is a true representation of the United States culture. We have over thirty-nine languages spoken and a diverse mix of smiling faces. We are a large urban K-8 school with students who love to learn.

My students come from a variety of family types and have different levels of support and resources at home.

Students turn to teachers and the school to provide the safety, support and consistency needed in their daily life.

I want my classroom to be place where students are excited and challenged, both academically and socially, to become better than they were yesterday. My classroom is a co-taught room. Nine of my students receive special education services, and many are English Language Learners. Distance learning has become a challenge for my classroom and district. My hope is to bring new ideas and ways of teaching through various technological resources.

My Project

This monitor will help me see my students on a larger screen and will allow me to view their work, see their faces and expressions, and to make better connections.

I am currently viewing 26 students and lessons on a 13 inch laptop screen.

A larger external monitor will allow me to work with my students along side my presentations. The larger screen will let me see the subtleties of facial expressions and movements that I cannot see teaching remotely on a small screen, and that we typically see teaching face to face in a classroom.
