This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school in a city school district. In our public city school, many scholars are diverse, multiple language learners and at-risk readers. Currently, the entire school population receives free breakfast and lunch. Many scholars are also from low-income households. However, they are warm, loving, and continually searching for ways to grow and become better each day. I am honored to teach such wonderful children.

I enjoy providing scholars a multitude of experiences to connect the curriculum and enhance their learning while promoting equitable access and allowing them to be creative and stimulate their curiosity.

My scholars are eager to learn, excel and connect the curriculum in the school library media center. As the school librarian, I am able to reach every student in the school. I have been teaching for eighteen years and I take a great deal of pride in my work. I strive to make learning fun and engaging as I have been focusing on transdisciplinary learning to help scholars have authentic and powerful learning experiences.

My Project

The requested monitor will allow expansion of the screen to more effectively deliver lessons and reach students. An additional screen will enable private screens to be kept hidden and other screens to be easily viewed by kids for classes, learning and collaboration.

A big part of learning is based on visual incorporation and most people understand better when they can see what is being taught.

The screen will reinforce multitasking and more efficient working so that less tabs are open. Working remotely, in a hybrid model or at school, this screen will get definite high usage in the school library. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
