My Project
Hi! My name is Ms. Young. I teach 6th grade English Language Arts and Science at M.S. 50, a public middle school in Brooklyn. This year, during Extended Learning Time, I would like to create and facilitate a scrapbooking club. I've made many scrapbooks in the past and have found that this activity promotes several skills and traits. It forces the scrapbook maker to become focused on long term goals, it teaches how to be selective and prioritize, it develops your planning, organization, and design skills, and lastly, it enhances the scrapbooker's storytelling abilities! All in all, it's a masked way of developing critical reading and writing skills while having FUN! Please allow my M.S. 50 students the opportunity to explore this craft.
