My Project

My students are enthusiastic, inquisitive and love to be active! These young learners need to get outside with space to move around, experiment, and explore new concepts. They are not built for sitting and doing worksheets or listening to lectures all day. They need lots of sensory input and physical activity.

The outdoors aren't just for playtime; with the necessary materials, there is so much learning that can be done outside in the fresh air and open space beyond our classroom walls!

Enriching our outdoor classroom environment with hands on science, art, sensory, imaginative play and physical education materials, can help us to reach each child's unique learning styles and sensory needs beyond the walls of our classroom. Our playground is small, mostly blacktop, no grass and just small play structure with a couple of slides. Along with being a space to learn beyond our classroom walls, the requested materials will allow students to be active and creative during their recesses as well. Students will get to enjoy the materials for many years to come.
