Help me give my students colorful paper, good quality drawing paper, and printmaking tools and supplies so that they can create prints and collages to share with each other, with family, and to show you, our generous donors!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love the creativity and curiosity that my students show up with every day. They find new ways of thinking and making that surprise me often. Printmaking is one of my passions, and I am excited to engage my students in this process which has a rich history not only with artists but is also tied to the enlightenment, democratic ideals, and the industrial revolution.
Students will get to carve their ideas into linoleum, roll ink onto their templates, and use our press to create myriad impressions and images to express and share their creative vision.
We will also collage! This will see students playing, experimenting, and composing with shapes, and colors in a fun and improvisational way. Using colorful tissue and printed matter, students will create projects inspired by the fascinating art movements of Dadaism and Impressionism. I can't wait to get into this with my students!!
