My Students

PreKindergarten is the first experience my students have with the classroom and become accustomed quickly to engaging in basic learning activities with their teachers and friends every day.

When the Coronavirus pandemic required everyone to stay at home, my students were suddenly left without their normal connection to their classroom, little or no internet access, or, in many cases, basic school tools and materials.

My Project

Many of my students lack the resources to have basic art materials at their disposal. Their parents must work very hard to provide the basic needs, leaving gaps in tools and materials available for my little ones to express the stress and anxious feelings that come when regular routines like going to school are disrupted.

Helping me to provide crayons, colored pencils, a supply of drawing paper, play dough, and a special bag to keep their things is will give them a sense of a caring community.

They will be able to use color, drawing, and sculpting to express their feelings as they play during the quarantine at home.
