My Project
I am a business and communications teacher, and I teach all of the kids in my building. We record podcasts and video and make the school broadcast.
The broadcast is a great way for kids from diverse backgrounds to gain recognition in and around school.
Our population of English language learners is quite large, as are the populations of other historically underserved communities. Segments in the weekly school broadcast and podcast highlight the many cultures present in our school.
This project is for a MacBook Air. Using Mac's built-in editing software will make editing the school podcast and broadcast much easier and more professional. We have been using the limited editing equipment provided by school Chromebooks, but it is lacking in many ways, leading to inadequate work. It is important to me that we give students of diverse backgrounds the tools they need to best express themselves.
