This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having technology to use with a Cricut in our speech room will open the door to work one on one with my students in expanding their life skills and creativity. My students with special needs benefit greatly from working on step activities, following directions, and learning about different materials when making projects. A printer and heat press for use with a Cricut would allow us to make themed projects for our school and classroom. It will also allow students to express their interests and what designs they want to bring to life. The ability to create labels will allow our students to stay organized and familiarize themselves on where they can find things around the room.
Please help our students expand their creativity through the use of technology and gain skills they can use when they are older which can help them in future jobs.
Having these tools will also allow students to make t-shirts, decor, and labels. Thank you for contributing to expanding our students’ horizons!
