My Project

With the supplies I could purchase from this grant, my students will have the opportunity to create a variety of artwork to display in our 1st Annual Art Show. This is my fifth year teaching in this district, but my first as the art teacher. I have set a goal to have at least one Art Show this school year.

When students know that they have an opportunity to display their art in public, they seem to take more pride and care in what they are doing.

When working on projects, I have heard several students say that what they are doing is “Art Show Worthy” and I love that they praise themselves and gain confidence in their work.

With this grant, I would be able to purchase m supplies that we do not have at this time. Giving my students a variety of mediums to use to create art, gives them the chance to see what options there are and find the ones that they prefer and are comfortable using to create each masterpiece.
