This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are all students with mild to moderate disabilities who are extremely creative. They struggle with academic learning but shine so bright when we draw or do holiday activities. They have been asking to be able to paint and create clothes so I would like to plan a painting day where they can paint a canvas for their families and make a shirt to express themselves that they can wear.

Our classroom thrives in the arts and I believe that giving them a day to create and express themselves will boost their confidence and help motivate them to learn.
