This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As I started to work with my students it seemed rough, but at the same time I felt their hunger to succeed, with my guidance and instruction. We started to build up stronger boundaries and trust as a teacher who has love , care , and compassion for her children, and I’m so proud to have earned their trust.
My students from low-income households are more likely to struggle with engagement, and they need your help to succeed.
Help me give my students a chance to express their creativity while they are at home with crayons, colored pencils, and drawing paper.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. The drawing pad and color pencil will be used by the students, so that they may create their visual journal, and will help the distance learning process run smoothly from day to day. Also drawing pad, and color pencils will be used to create a colorful anchor charts that reflect the discussions we have during our mini-lessons.
Quarantine is emotionally challenging, and I would love to give my students a drawing pad and color pencils to create, express, and share their feelings during this remote learning time.
It will helps my students mental health as they create and express their feeling through an artwork.
