Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students in large urban cities, particularly in the Midwest are rarely exposed to golf or have the opportunity to develop their golf skills to the level where they can compete at the collegiate level or beyond. It is even less likely for students that attend schools within predominantly Black/African American and Latino Communities to experience these opportunities. The equipment that I have identified will allow our inner-city students to experience golf and continue to develop their golf skills year round, even during the cold Winter months that are common in the Midwest.

By donating to our project you will help to enhance golf skills of our students allowing them to compete at both the state and national level, improving their opportunities for scholarships and often leading to careers in associated areas such as caddies, sports journalism, physical therapy, sports agency, etc.
