Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first grade class is an amazing group of students, who, no matter the odds, always push themselves to do their best. Their perseverance is inspiring and they come from low-income backgrounds and many are emergent bilinguals. Our school is a high poverty school and these students, who are mainly Latino, and are excited to learn and ready to succeed, but need the tools to aid in their understanding of the curriculum.
My students are engaged, curious, and ready to continue expanding their learning through different medias!
My innovators are ready to be creative and pursue their ambitions! All they need to keep trucking on are the tools to succeed!
My Project
My students need paper so that it can be utilized for the multipurposes of the classroom such as homework, in class practice, and for projects.
My students love using the white boards to practice our phonics of the week and during math time but they need the Expo markers to do it.
Since many of my students come from low income backgrounds when we ask for donations at the start of the year, Expo markers are not one of the things we get donated. Expo markers are a wonderful and fun tool for the kids to use to reinforce the many different concepts in class!
