This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, we use Expo dry-erase markers and colored pencils on a daily basis for academic instruction. Students are able to use them to write on dry-erase boards for math and for their drawings! Because we are a dual language school, we use blue and red colors the most, to differentiate the language for our students. These dry erase markers are used daily; we go through quite a lot of them.
With so much lost instructional time in the last eighteen months, we are finding new and different ways to engage students!
The sparkle in my students' eyes when they are using the markers and/or colored pencils to write new sounds and words on their whiteboards and on colorful cardboards is something that every teacher should experience. They even use them for math on their dry-erase boards to show their thinking and to mark phonetic patterns in our word study lessons!
I look forward to using and creating with my students. You amazing people help with so much in my classroom. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all of the assistance.
