This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing little learners who come to school excited to learn each day. My school is a Title 1 school with 100% of the students receiving free or reduced lunch. For many of my students, school is their safe place.

While they are eager to learn, they lack many of the resources to help them.

My class loves to think critically and explore with science and math, but we don't have a lot of STEM materials for them to utilize. Having these STEM materials would help my students further develop their critical thinking skills and explore the world around them.

My Project

These STEM materials will truly help my students continue to think critically and continue to enjoy Math and Science. They will be able to use these engaging materials during center time as well as during small group activities. My students love to learn and explore, but lack the resources.

They will be able to come to school even more excited each day, knowing that they have these amazing materials waiting for them.

They will be able to become engineers building a rollercoaster, possibly envisioning a future career. They will be able to use blueprints and blocks, picturing themselves as future architects. There is not a doubt in my mind, that if my students are able to get their hands on these materials, they will be able to go far. Just think that a future world renowned architect or engineer could be learning in Pre-K 101 right now.
