Help me give my students different types of vehicles to enhance their learning of various forms of transportation.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bono's classroom raised $167

My Students
I teach in a New York City public school. My Pre K students speak very little or no English. There are six different languages spoken in the classroom so they rely on play to acquire new vocabulary and to learn.
Although they have limited English, their curiosity and enthusiasm are evident.
They are always eager to observe, discover, and experiment and once they have built enough confidence, they begin to describe and share their findings. I often notice most of my students choosing things they can build or create when it's Free Choice Center Time. Their imaginations are endless!
My Project
Students will use these materials in various learning centers throughout the day. They will explore different vehicles as well as how they are used around their community and how they move. Students will also use these vehicles to explore ramps and bridges.
These vehicles will enhance the exploration and understanding of transportation.
They will give the students an opportunity to learn through play. Students will use their imagination to create different vehicles as they mix and match magnetic vehicle parts.
They can then use theses vehicles on the roads, ramps and bridges they create in the block center. They can also use them for sorting such as vehicles that move on land, in the air and on water.
