My Project
Reading is truly one of my favorite things to do! I want to inspire my students to read and give them endless books to choose from. One of my favorite parts of teaching English to high school students is connecting with them through discussions about books, whether they come to me looking for a specific book or come to me recommending that I read a specific book.
With the rise of "BookTok" on social media, which includes users sharing their latest reads, I have noticed an increase in my students' interest in reading again!
Some students come in and only like reading a particular genre or length! With this project, I hope to start building a bookshelf they have helped create! I want to fill it with books they request as well. Books can take you on all the adventures without moving from the comfort of your seat!
I look forward to watching them grow their love of reading, and our bookshelf evolve to their needs!
