Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Lions, Space, Redwoods, OH MY! This class of fourth graders loves to learn about the world...make that UNIVERSE around them, however the nonfiction books in our class are anything but kid-friendly. The Scholastic Magazines will provide entertaining and informative nonfiction texts.

Ask this question of any student in our class and they will tell you, "We are a respectful, responsible, and kind 4th grade class.

We are a helpful and bright class." Most of students in my class are from low economic background, but every student has a dream and aspirations.

My Project

The Scholastic News Magazine is full of vibrant colors and informative articles about current events and scientific discoveries. It is both age and grade level appropriate. Not only is it a wonderful resource for students, but it also contains instructional tools for teachers. With this resource, my students will gain a better understanding of the world around them and will be even greater global citizens.

This will be a life changing resource for many of my students that have not yet experienced an exciting, nonfiction series.

This emperience may cause them to consider new careers and set even bigger goals.
