This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every new school day is filled with excitement, high energy, and lots of questions. My students want to know about the world and explore everything around them. What else can one expect in a class filled with typical 5 year old kindergartners?

I teach in a Title 1 school which is mostly made up of students who are speakers of other languages and are economically disadvantaged.

My students are active little explorers who learn best through technology based instruction. They are always up and excited about watching an educational movie or playing an educational game on an app.

My Project

My students will retrieve the educational apps downloaded on the hard drive. The apps will address the different academic domains. Students will also be able to download videos addressing scientific experiments. Downloaded pictures will also help students grasp the concept of creative writing. Pictures can help young writers create a non fiction story that has a beginning, middle, and end.

My kindergartners will learn how to work independently.

The use of technology will help them grasp a sense of responsibility in attaining their grade level goal. Students will learn to gain ownership over their educational needs.
