Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help us bring Scholastic Classroom Magazines into our language arts curriculum—providing both print and digital subscriptions that engage students with captivating content like current events, science, history, poems, and short stories. These high-interest, age‑appropriate texts support essential literacy skills—such as vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and critical thinking—while enriching classroom discussions and writing tasks.
By integrating digital magazine issues with interactive features—including videos, quizzes, and audio read-alouds—students of varying reading levels can access meaningful text and participate in whole‑class, small‑group, or independent work.
Print magazines will be used for close reading activities: identifying main ideas and text features, writing inspired responses, and practicing vocabulary through visual supports.
