I am a first year teacher welcoming a class of Kindergarten children. Some of the materials in my cart, such as the storage drawers, will help me organize the students’ work so that it is easily accessible to them. The colorful paper will help me create beautiful newsletters for my students’ parents that will help me strengthen communication with them and involve them in the learning processes of their children. The whiteboards will be a great resource to invite the students to engage in many literacy activities and practice their handwriting in a fun way. I will also be able to use the different types of markers and the large post-it pages to create colorful anchor charts that will provide many visuals to enhance my students’ learning. Kindergarteners have the right to develop their creativity and have high quality materials that will support their learning. The clay I included in my cart will support the students in strengthening their fine motor skills, explore mathematical concepts such as symmetry, and allow them to create interesting three-dimensional creations. Art is a very big part of Kindergarten and I want to make sure that all the students have access to materials such as paint, paint brushes, pencils, and construction paper they can use to create many different things. Help me create a wonderful learning environment that will support the students in developing a love for school!
