This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.
Many of my students won't have the ability to learn online once school is no longer in session.
Many depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.
My Project
Right now, the majority of my students do not have their own books, and rely on an adult to get them their reading materials. I would LOVE to give each of my students a bookbag full of books to read.
Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning .
I know my students will love this new addition to our distance learning and they will then have a book of their own to read with their family. I also hope this will encourage them to want to read more!
