Exploring the World Through Books!

Help me give my students an opportunity to learn about social emotional themes and books regarding diversity. Books like A Little SPOT of Feelings will help students understand and discuss various types of emotions encountered by youth.

My Project

As the world grows more diverse and social contexts change with rapidity, the goal is to have a volume of books that explore differences among people in society and emotions that can be encountered as they grow.

By providing books in the social emotional genre and books that describe cultural understanding, students can read new materials that cover these important topics.

These materials will be representative of the social milieu they are currently in and provide a fun and engaging way to discuss emotional growth and understanding.

My students are special because they are curious, eager learners who could greatly benefit from social emotional books that engage their feelings. My students are a wonderful group that represent a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and reading abilities.
