My Students
My students are part of a Pre-K Head Start program which 99% are economically disadvantaged. Our school is a Title I school and gets free meals for every student. This does not stop my students from having fun and learning everyday. My students love to learn with hands on materials and lessons. They are so eager to learn about the world all around them. They know they can be and do anything they set their minds to .They know they are valued and cared for when they come to school. They know that their class is their safe place and their teacher is their friend and supporter. My little learners need to see and explore the world all around them because they are our future!
My Project
My little learners are learning about the world all around them. Some places are too far or too dangerous for us to go on a field trip to.
My students need a class interactive laptop so they can explore the world around us.
By having a touch screen laptop, I will be able to provide interactive games and activities my students can explore during rotation time.
My class is a Head Start classroom, which means they are borderline poverty. They may not have an opportunity at home to explore the world all around them with videos, pictures, and interactive apps.
With technology on the rise, having a touchscreen laptop will help my students build essential computer skills they will need later on throughout their entire life. Pre-k is a great time to start building this foundation of technological knowledge and practice.
Having a new innovative laptop will surely benefit my students in many ways! I can not wait to see their little brains expand and develop as we explore the world all around us!
