Mrs. Schlemann from Dayton OH is requesting lab equipment through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need more real life experiences to investigate the world around them. They need KIT TACKLING SCIENCE, and larvae habitats to be able to explore, ask questions, research, and experience things out of the regular classroom.

I teach in an urban school where one hundred percent of our students receive free lunch. Many of my students do not have enough money to purchase school supplies for daily use. Within my classroom, there can be up to twenty-eight students, all of whom are female. I want to give my students the advantage of having as many hands-on learning experiences with literacy and phonics as they can have, to make learning more engaging. I would really love to transition my room into a Reggio style classroom and need tools to help me.
When my students enter the classroom, I want them to be lost in learning and for that moment, forget all their hardships and understand that learning is fun.
I want them to know how to become independent in their own learning in various learning experiences. I want to set up exploration experiences for students to experience learning hands-on through exploration.
I am requesting several different types of educational Science kits from studying larvae, to ladybugs. to help us explore the world around us. These kits will help students explore and question how and why things happen. This will give students the opportunity to bring the outside into the classroom. These kits will lead students to research, discussing, and explore. I am requesting 2 of somethings for another kindergarten to class that would like to participate with us.
Students will be able to say, wow, what a wonderfully exiting world I live in.
Let me keep asking questions, exploring, and learning about the world around me.
