My Students

I have a very diverse group of students and this year we have been working hard on doing more project based learning. My students range in ability from being gifted to students who are on access points. My students are all on the 100% free lunch and breakfast program. I have students who come from military families and have lived all over the world, while other have never left Pensacola.

My students are excited to explore all science has to offer and learn best with concrete hands on experiences.

We are lucky enough for each student to have a chrome book to use to help enhance and create more diverse learning opportunities. I want to instill a passion to learn and explore the world around us.

My Project

My students will be able to explore the microscopic world around us and learn how we interact. They will be able to dig deeper into how these microscopic worlds help to fuel the food webs. They will also be able to learn how mathematics patterning is found in nature. I believe this will inspire my students to want to learn more about the world around them and inspire them in other subjects as well. while reading and seeing pictures of mitosis taking place is interesting, nothing is more captivating then watching it happen right in front of you! Being able to see each stage as it unfolds.
