This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Many of my students step into the classroom with the mindset that mathematics is boring. Long gone are the days when a simple worksheet can keep students occupied. Now, they require more innovation, conversation, critical thinking, and inquiry-based engagement through collaboration.

By having a new device that is cutting-edge in terms of technology, I would be able to better facilitate various learning exercises for student learners in a mode that is more accustomed to their individual learning needs.

With a new laptop device, I would also be better equipped to provide training and professional development to stakeholders to spread mathematical educational knowledge on the new Georgia K-12 Mathematics Standards.
