This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We all learn differently. I'm an Inclusion Teacher working in an Urban School environment. I enjoy watching my inclusion students plan and meet the bench marks that they set for themselves. We have a large poverty rate with 62% of our students receiving reduced lunch. It's hard to personally fund all activities that will help my students grow. Each year it's my pleasure to celebrate, The Awareness Awareness project in our district. I'm always in need of art supplies and an area where the students can comfortably sit and add to our project.

Entering school daily with an open mind, and exiting with a joyful experience is what makes my inclusion students yearn to learn more.
