Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are not provided with the support and resources they need and deserve. They are very eager, energetic, fun preschoolers who want nothing more than to succeed in the classroom and build the foundation they need to be successful in the school years to come.
I teach in a very low-income community.
Many of my students are from Spanish-speaking homes with limited English. I want to give my students every opportunity in my classroom, so they can enjoy all preschool has to offer.
My Project
Creative play in preschool will be enhanced as my students use the dinosaurs and their imagination.
Our imaginative play area will allow for the children to interact with the dinosaurs, as well as the other animals in the center.
The collection of dinosaurs can be used for creative play, sorting, or building of habitats. My preschool students are curious about animals and how they interact. They are also interested in building their vocabulary as they play in our classroom. These animals will enhance that learning and allow the children to interact with each other, have discussions, and build on their creativity and knowledge of dinosaurs.
