Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a 2nd grade dual language teacher, I believe students learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect academic content to real life. My students are bright, eager, and full of curiosity. They are learning in both English and Spanish, and they bring a rich cultural perspective to every activity we do. They take pride in their learning and love projects that allow them to explore, create, and work together.
This project supports our classroom garden by helping us bring the fruits of our labor into the kitchen.
With the BLACK+DECKER 4-Slice Toaster Oven, BELLA Electric Griddle, BELLA Electric Skillet, and BLACK+DECKER 5-Cup Coffeemaker, my students will be able to prepare simple, healthy recipes using ingredients they’ve grown themselves. The kitchen utensils, oven mitts, towels, pot holders, and Hodedah mini microwave cart will give us everything we need to cook safely, stay organized, and clean up responsibly.
My goal is to help students explore the science of cooking, understand nutrition, and develop important life skills. With your support, they will learn about plant life cycles, food science, and teamwork while enjoying the satisfaction of preparing something they helped grow.
