My Students

My students come from many different backgrounds and have a large range of ability levels. 69% of my students receive free lunch and 9% receive reduced price lunch. Many of my students do not have computers or Wi-Fi in their homes. My first graders are all so curious about how they can use the latest technology. My students come to school so excited to learn. We learn through books, experiments, and hands-on activities. They have such a good time learning they are sad to hear the dismissal bell ring because they can't believe it is already time to go home!

My Project

Technology is a very important tool used the classroom and in the real world today. Students of all ability levels in my classroom love using technology to help them learn in all subject areas. My students' favorite time of the school day is when we integrate technology and science into other subject areas.

My students need Coding Robots, Ozobots, to help them think critically, solve problems, redesign, and work cooperatively.

The Ozobots are tiny robots that the children can program themselves to retell stories, show the life cycle of a butterfly, or prove a math story problem. The Ozobots would be a wonderful way to reach the many learning styles of the children in my classroom.
