This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the first science experiment that you every conducted? Can you still remember the thrill you felt after completing that experiments? My students have yet to discover that thrill.

Currently I have 21 students in my classroom, who either receive free of reduced lunch daily.

Of the 21 students, I have a mixture of blacks, whites, and Hispanics. Regardless of the fact that they might be considered poor, my students are hard workers and appreciate new learning.

My Project

Through the Safety Goggles, Platform Scales, and Slinky Slime Science Mini Lab my student will learn that exploring the world of science can open up their eyes to a whole new world. Through these donated materials my students will be able to receive first hand accounts of what conducting science experiments are all about.

Usually, I purchase all of the materials that my students need in order to experience the joys of science because my school does not have it in their budget to do so.

This year I was going to try to eliminate as much of the science experiments as I could because of budget reasons. I felt bad that I had to consider doing this because my students in the past have always loved conducting experiments. Your donation will enable my current students to not miss out on exploring science.
