My Project
If there's one thing my students have learned about me, it's that Ms. Jasmine is terrible with real life plants. During our living and nonliving inquiry unit, the students found it funny that the only living things in our classroom were us! Our kindergarten class has two main units that involve plants- our Living and Nonliving STEAM unit, and our Sharing the Planet unit about habitats. I would love to supply my children with plant examples that can last for years to come, as well as show students how they can create real life models through other objects (in this case, legos)
These Lego models will be especially useful for when we need to draw examples of plants with accurate colors and details.
Currently when we draw plants, we have to depend solely on pictures. I would like to have the Lego models at each table so that they can have a closer look and practice drawing something tangible. Additionally, I have chosen some unique plants that would be difficult to have alive in the classroom for variety. Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you can support our project!
