My Project

In my classroom, we are exploring how people learn about space. We have read two texts about the achievements and influence of Galileo Galilei. His story has inspired my students to ask thoughtful questions about moons, the solar system, telescopes, how stars are formed, and why someone would become an astronaut. Their enthusiasm has motivated me to create lessons they won’t soon forget.

To satisfy these wonderings, my students would benefit from a variety of items to make learning fun.

They need grade-level texts to support each activity. They also need craft supplies to create constellations and the solar system. Finally, an entry-level telescope is needed to understand how Galileo and other astronomers gather information for their research.
