Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The interactive globe and geography books will bring the world to life for my students, helping them visualize continents, oceans, and landforms in a hands-on, engaging way. These tools will enhance their spatial awareness and understanding of global geography—key skills in developing global citizens. Books like A Kids Book About Racism and young activist dictionaries will empower students to explore important social topics with age-appropriate language and clarity. These resources support critical thinking, empathy, and respectful dialogue—skills that are just as vital as academic knowledge.

My goal for this project is to build a classroom where students not only learn facts but also grow as thoughtful, informed, and compassionate individuals.

I want my students to see the world as something they’re a part of and can contribute to. What makes my students special is their incredible curiosity, diverse backgrounds, and strong sense of justice. They ask big questions, care deeply about fairness, and are eager to make a difference. With the right tools, they’ll be equipped to understand the world and their place in it.
